I had an attorney friend call and speak to the other attorney. Basically last summer during drought conditions, the land had developed severe cracks in it enough to where the landowner could visibly see some type of pvc piping in the ground leading the owner to believe it's my septic. The statute is 24 months from when he found out last summer. They apparently don't have pictures but admittedly the attorney mentioned they don't want a situation where they now have to disclose that there could be an old abandoned septic OR my septic and if it's mine, they don't want to be liable if during digging, they damage "my" septic lines. I've got the septic company meeting me out there sometime next week to outline exactly where my system is. Doesn't sound like any credible lawsuit threat is imminent at this time.
