John Deere Gator UTV kicking up dust into cab

My buddy has a 2017 two row John Deere Gator at his ranch in Pearsall, TX and it kicks up dust/dirt bad enough to where we don't even drive it. Using a windshield didn't seem to help either. Another friend brought his Can Am Defender down and it does not have this same issue.

So besides Cam Am does anyone have experience with other brands that won't kick up that south Texas dirt into the cab? A fully enclosed cab model is not currently in the budget.

Thanks!

Windshield has the opposite effect. It creates a vortex to suck in dust. Either no windshield or add a rear windshield to protect from the swirling of dust back into the cab.

Have to add a rear windshield

Windshield will make it 10X worse.

Every side by side kicks up dirt. A rear wind screen might help keep some of it out of the cab.

Thanks. We did remove the windshield and that helped a bit. It's still noticeably worse than the Cam Am Defender which is why I was wondering if some brands are better than others in that area.

I have a Can Am Lonestar Defender. It has a full front windshield. I wanted to block some engine noise and my dealer told me to add the back windshield. I did and it caused dust to swirl inside the cab area. Took it off and it's back to the way it was before…. little dust.
The Lonestar is the 6 place.

This. I'm on dusty roads often. No windshield on my mule and no roof. So dust goes right thru.
Dust really bothers my eyes. Even more than the sun and rain

My previous Yamaha had roof, windshield and doors. Dust was unbearable

If your windshield is a pop up one, there is usually two locking points on the bracket, one that closes the windshield fully and one that gives about an inch of space. I drive mine fast most of the time, and with the one inch open I never notice the wind but it does knock down the dust inside. Also, don't stop fast, if you can just idle down and that keeps a lot of the trailing dust from coming into the cab section.

You just like it because it looks like a border patrol rig and keeps the illegals away
