My son is graduating HS in May and we want to do a family/senior trip to Alaska this coming summer

Me, wife and kids are 18,16,13

We are all experienced inshore and offshore anglers

Looking for an all inclusive lodge that is nice enough for my wife and daughter too.

Would be great if it even had some activities for the girls, outside of fishing

No real budget in mind, let me know your best places! I'm ready to book

Thanks!

We (wife, 2 year old, me, mom, dad and a couple of their ~70 year old friends) had a great time at Cascade Creek lodge in Sitka about 7 years ago. I haven't been anywhere else in AK but Sitka had plenty of non fishing stuff...nice downtown for the ladies to toodle around, the bear rescue was cool

Foster's Alaska Cabins coordinate fishing trips for halibut/cod or salmon. Awesome experience and they took care of everything.

We went here last summer. https://towerrocklodge.com/
There were plenty of ladies there fishing and a few kids too. Cabins were good, food was excellent. Communication was lacking thru the whole trip. Guides were good.

I did Towerock 6 years ago and can recommend them as well.

If possible, try to make it over to Brooks Falls to see the bears (and fish Brooks River).

Been here three times. My dad goes every year - sometimes twice. Can't wait to take my boys, but they've got some growing to do (5 and 3). My wife, mom and sister in law have all been once or twice and enjoyed it. Gourmet meals every night, and plenty of fish to catch. We went for the silver run one year and the sockeye another. You'll catch halibut, black drum, ling cod, yellow eye rock fish, and of course salmon (and more).

Fly fishing next to a Kodiak bear and her cubs is an experience.

My son and I went here for his graduation trip. Wish we would've upgraded from a skiff to a covered boat, but we still had a great time. Went home with about 80 pounds of salmon and halibut.

There isn't anything fancy about Green Rocks. It is clean, comfortable, and the food is good. It is one of the less expensive places in Alaska. The fishing is self guided. Flights are reasonable.

I've been 4 or 5 times. Its on a small island just out of town. They bring in chefs of all flavors and skills to cook for the guests. Great wine and beer selections. The owners are first class and make sure you have a good time.

They have a 2 bed massage room, skeet shooting dock, float planes for fishing and boats too. If you need/want to go to town, it is a short boat ride over. The best part to me, is just sitting on the couches overlooking the bay with a glass of bourbon. The lodge has giant windows so the view is just stunning. My home in Colorado has the same windows with a great view, so to have that on vacation is a great perk.

If you go, I would opt for the luxury cabins that have the hot tub. You cant go wrong on any of the rooms though, we just like having the hot tub....

The Glacier tours are fun, I only did it one time. I have been all over the world, so seeing another glacier is a one and done kind of thing for me. I go there to relax and fish. The flyout salmon fishing is top tier.

If you have the means to go to Dove Island, I highly recommend it.

I'd recommend you spend some time on THe Fly Shop's website (or Yellowdog and read all about the lodges in their Alaska travel section.

These guys will fully book your trip. My Dad and I have used them twice and everything was flawless (once to Chile Patagonia to Rapids Camp Lodge).

I like the Katmai/Iliamna/Bristol Bay areas and lean to the lodges that fly out to that area. A few notables are Rapids Camp, Royal Coachman, Royal Wolf Lodge, Rainbow River Lodge.

These are expensive, high end, flyout lodges that you'll fly in a Beaver floatplane to different destinations and rivers every day. Spectacular.

Budget?

We did Tikchik Lodge a long time ago. It's fly in-fly out. You fly out on a float plane every morning for a week to different spots.
