What are people's thoughts about cinnamon shore? We've gone to watercolor/seaside for years, and obviously it won't quite be that yet, and the water will never be like that, but is this becoming a good beach destination in Texas?

Be ready to drop 10-20k for a rental beach house in Texas. Have never been myself but have multiple friends that have gone with their in-laws and they all talk about how nice it is but say they are glad their in-laws are paying for it.

We went this past summer and we also frequent 30A. The sand/water is nothing close but the vibe is very similar. We really liked the fact that everything is on-site restaurants, shops, events, pools, etc.). It's pricey (I think $500/night for a one bedroom with bunk nook), but it saved us net 6 hours on the drive. If my MIL didn't have a house for us to stay off 30A then I think we'd definitively return often. I would recommend springing for the golf cart (6-seater even) as you can take it everywhere on-site and also onto the beach.

Yes it's awesome. Lisabella's is a great restaurant. Beach conditions vary greatly. Wouldn't want to live there as everything is so packed in tight but it's great to visit.
