District 9 Councilman John Courage will host the second annual Voluntary Weapons Xchange aiming to reduce gun violence in the city. The event will run from noon to 5:00 p.m. in the Alamodome parking lot.

For a pistol or a handgun, owners will get $150 gift card, while assault weapons and AR-15-style automatic rifles will get $200 gift cards, the news station reported. Gun owners cannot trade in more than 10 guns for gift cards.
