Nice place but too far for me……(as if I had that kind of money laying around)
It seems you've got your priorities in the correct order though.

So where exactly is this at near San Ygnacio if you don't mind me asking?? Assuming it's off 3169 towards Aguilares or 83 towards Zapata or Laredo..

I just took over close to 1000acres down there after it became available late in the year due to the guy leasing it getting cancer and backing out of it. Have hunted down there on land owner's other smaller property for last 5 years and told him years ago if it ever came open I'd take it….

Right now it's just me and my 12 yr old son hunting it but will be looking to add several more for next year…

It would be more like a Second Class SoTX Lease compared to this one but it's loaded with deer and everything else..Still in process of finding out exactly what we've got but have been impressed so far…

It's a damn good area and cheap for SoTX…

Will you be posting more info up on here when you get ready to add more people? Price, kids yes/no (I assume that's a yes since your son is on it), camp?, etc..

Yes. It's low fence and has several houses that need a little work/tlc and spots for trailers. Would prefer people with kids at/around same age as mine that want to learn to hunt/etc. I wasn't able to put any cameras/feeders/blinds up until bow season had already started due to scheduling/travel ball/school sports. Son was able to take an 8 that was just shy of 140" a few weeks ago.

I am looking for a lease for my 4 year old and 2 year old boys to grow up on. I am not at all scared of a little TLC. What is the best way to get a hold of you?

I'm in the same boat as the poster above, I have a 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. Grew up around deer hunting but drifted more towards waterfowl the last 17-18 years. My Dad would also probably be interested in a spot mostly just to be around me and the grandkids. Huge plus for him if there's any quail hunting to be done.

I've never shot a deer worth shoulder mounting and would like to do so. I'm not in it to fill the freezer so definitely more trophy minded. In other words I'd have no problem letting deer pass and grow. Will take culls or whatever you decide you want to do. I do like to bow hunt as well.

You going to have more than 2-3 hunters? 3 is upper limit for that area imo.

3…. Possibly 4 but think 3 would be perfect.

My dad is 78 and would love a South Texas deer lease to go hunting with his 46 year old son.

In all seriousness, if there are any openings I would love to throw my name in the hat. Haven't had a deer lease in over 15 years, as good ones are hard to come by.
