Looking for a good dove hunt not far from Houston. Maybe just an afternoon hunt?
Any recommended outfitters or ideas?

Isaac Gore is a guide. If you're from the area, you may remember his dad, Larry Gore, tormenting the geese on the Katy prairie for years. We were scheduled for this weekend, but he called and said the birds weren't holding and were scattered. He thinks he'll have better conditions when the south zone opens.

That doesn't help you for Sunday I know. But keep his name handy for future hunts. We duck hunt with him and he gets it done at a very reasonable price vs others in the area / Eagle Lake.

There are usually plenty of places b/w Tomball and Katy areas that charge like $100 - $150 a gun. Of course that was a few years ago.
