I went and looked at a place in Pushmataha county today and will be joining the lease. They have 1 spot still open so I thought I would post here in case anyone is looking. This place has been posted on TBH by a well known member there who has had the lease for close to 20 years w his family.
If anyone is interested you can message me and I can pass along the info for the lease manager.
I'm sure I missed some info so post away if you have questions.
- $5.22 per acre.
- 1 spot is still available. Total lease is 1900 acres w 6 total members(5 are filled).
- Just east of Nashoba, OK(30 min NE of Antlers).
- Deer, bear, hogs, turkey.
- year round access.
- Deer 170"+ have come off of this place.
- Hilly/mountain timber land just off of HWY 144 w easy access but it is a bit of a drive to the back of the property.
- Each person gets their own designated area. You can bring a guest or family but they hunt on your tags.
- The available area is located at the back of the property and has a lot of elevation change. You'd have over 1.5 miles of property line to the north of this area w basically no hunting pressure on the neighboring property(backside of a big mountain w no road access).
- There is no camp, water, electricity on the property. There's a state park nearby w campsites, RV hookups, showers, bathrooms etc. I believe there's also other RV campsites nearby.
- it is a rugged place and will not be easy hunting over a feeder but there are some big deer up there.
- Bears can wreak havoc on feeders if you choose to use feeders.
- OK nonresident licenses can be expensive so look into that. Total cost was still a bargain compared to my texas lease.
