Anyone know a good granule bait to spread around a house in the hill country to kill scorpions before they get into the house. Just a real problem and we keep the grounds mowed and clean around and near the house but they have been a problem.

Talstar is the only granule I'm aware of that's labeled for Scorpions. Why is a liquid not a consideration?

I've had really good luck with Demand CS and wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Talstar granules will work on scorpions, and general ground pests like that.

Spray it in your attic, garage, etc.

Years ago, I couldn't get rid of them, but once my attic was dusted, I never saw another one again.

7 shot works but don't use inside.

Yeah I'm not sure about granules but as mentioned Demon WP works well and is safe to use indoors (just don't let pets or little ones near it until it dries).

FastCap also works great as a liquid spray.

I thought granules would last longer than liquid or dust. Spread outward from house at least 10 or 15 feet to create a barrier.

Cy-Kick or Onslaught Fastcap (both spray) work well. Don't leave a white residue like Demon WP.

I've had excellent results spraying Deamon around my farmhouse.

I've tried everything and Cy-kick kills scorpions better than any of them. It's expensive but well worth it.

I would stick with liquid and spray about 2' up your walls and 2' on the ground at the base of your foundation. That has worked well for me and we have a ton of scorpions around here. We very rarely find them in the house as long as I spray every few months.

As others have said Demon works really well. I tend to go with Bifenthrin because it's cheap and I have easy access to it through my job. It comes in granular too, but once you water it in, it's really no different than liquid. Actually it's probably worse, because you can't spray it on the walls/foundation.

Something fun to do is get a black light flashlight and go looking for them around your house at night. They glow bright under the light and you can see them really easy. Before we had a yard, we did this and found something like 60-80 in one night. It was crazy how many were out there.

Demon WP ... stuff works!

Here's a thread a couple years back about granules and sprays and such...

Also, I haven't had a single live scorpion encounter since I put the sticky traps in every bathroom and under every sink. I also put them behind the kids beds just to make sure.

Bugs get trapped in sticky traps and scorpions go in for bugs.

After a heavy rain or any rain, does the spray residues dissipate and have to re-spray?
