on a Saturday afternoon. Felt like I was driving a wheelchair on a freeway. Keep your head on a swivel.
He was in Arkansas, probably trying to be discrete moving methDatTallArchitect said:
Username checks out. You were doing some serious paddling and no fishing
This was a pedal kayak, and I was pretty exhausted by the end. Almost 7 hours of pedaling. I stopped a couple of times to fish at the large bridge pillars, but got no action. It was only the next day, or the day after, that I followed the recommendation of Ned rig, and I was pulling them in right and left, just next to the house.DatTallArchitect said:

. I have an older Hobie Outback with the v2 Mirage drive (no 180 or kick-up). I think the average person would have a hard time going as fast and as far as I did given that I am a pretty fast cyclist of many years. Not bragging, just saying that I'm not the average pedaler.DatTallArchitect said:
I mainly float creeks and rivers. While fishing, I'm usually taking 45 minutes to over an hour to cover a mile. I should look into a pedal drive for when on lakes. What is your setup?
Ned rigs are great for bass fishing. Ned rig in PB&J is my go-to lure.
I'd love to have a bass boat. Along with all the other wonderfully expensive things in life that many others have. I'm in a kayak for a reason!Gunny456 said:
Hey. If I can ever help we build fishing boats that have engines and can go 75+ mph. You can cover all that ground in little time and spend some RR time enjoying some adult beverages in the A/C with a good looking lady..
I kid .... I kid.
