A quick google search of Transit Moving Systems shows terrible reviews and BBB warnings. So not sure why someone would hire them without a quick search at minimum.

Sorry this happened but caveat emptor.

Moving companies are super sketchy....

We did a local move a few years ago and it was all going fine but the head guy had an 'emergency' and had to leave half way through unloading into new house so they dropped off this guy that was obviously on drugs and what should have taken maybe 2 hours took 6 hours because they kept taking breaks (I had opted for the hourly billing option....) so in the end I had to jump up in the truck and unload about as much as the paid movers.

Then they wanted tips....

Its always a nightmare.

This is why I moved myself when I went halfway across the country. Only kept the really good stuff, gave everything else away, bought new stuff in the new town. For me, it saved a lot of money, plus I didn't have to deal with bull**** like this.

Unfortunately the refused to unload the truck until the remaining 40% was paid via cashiers check or money order.

100% positive they don't take a CC because people would stop the payment after due to their chitty service.
