It's probably confirmation bias, but it seems like the stretch between Huntsville and Centerville has consistently terrible weather whenever I'm driving through there

It was a rough one in Magnolia. Parts still don't have power.

Still no power in most of my hood. My folks have been going by my place each day to run a generator and to power the fridge and freezer.

Hearing 2 things...
1) still a major transmission line down crossing cypress creek
2) specific to my hood, neighbor overheard CP guys in his driveway "each yard we go into, it just get worse"

I fly home Monday, get home late that night... might have power then

Drove north east out of town on 59 into Arkansas and then into Missouri; multiple places seemed like they got hit with varying sizes of tornados from last weeks storms.

Hope the recovery for y'all is going ok.

I know on our block, 2 of us had two trees fall into the power lines in our backyard. Us and a house 4 down from us. Everyone else on our side of the block had to have the arms replaced on their utility poles to hole up the wires. I guess the two giant trees that fell (ours actually snapped our electric pole) caused all of the arms to break off on all the others. It was a big ordeal getting everyone's fixed before they could finally replace our pole and get everyone up and running. Cypress creek is right behind us about 100 yards.

On the other side of our street, neighbors talking about how they barely got touched by any damage. Weird how it happened.

Got a WhatsApp message from my mother around 1am Cairo, 4pm Houston, time of the security light over my garage on. They were at the house running my freezer on a generator.

Flipped over to my Honeywell app and my thermostat was back online.

Just shy of 4 full days without power. Sounds like it was an absolute mess!
