It seems that the price has been reduced since the original release of these. Still a rip off. My Lodge skillets do just fine. When they start getting sticky, jut put a flapper wheel on a grinder and smooth out for a few seconds. Re-oil then you are good for a while.
The best way to season cast iron is to fill it about 3/4 full of cooking oil and simulate a fry for about an hour or so. Keep the temp a little lower than you would for a fry and you will be able to reuse the oil,
