I learned to drive in a '72 chevy, like the blue one shown but it was two tone, orange and white.

Now my maternal grandfather drove something a little more unique, an International Harvester pickup. Who remembers seeing those?

'73 Dodge Club Cab. With a camper shell over the bed.

Broke down once in Neosho, Missouri.

Several different pickups, every one of them used. He worked where they produced sulphur so rust was an issue and he would sand them and paint them himself. If I had it all to do over again, I'd find a way to have bought him a new one.

'69 Dodge single cab, 3 on the tree. His was all white and not restored.

He spent a lot of time under the hood and a lot more swear words. As a young boy I learned how to cuss by bringing my father tools and hearing him work on the old 'goat'. I learned how to drive in that truck.
