Howdy, my 85 year old father is wanting to do an inshore fishing trip. He lives in Houston and is pretty spry. Do y'all have any recommended charters that you use? I'll look on google too, but wanted to see what y'all thought.

Edit: inshore not inland waters

Inland is freshwater and inshore is saltwater. Offshore is saltwater in the gulf.

Give Captain Nathan Gray a call at 713-299-4647. He fishes inshore waters throughout the Galveston Bay complex. Great fisherman and even better Christian man. He has a range of clients from young and old alike. He was telling me about an 80 year old couple he took out last week and he got them on fish. The husband is legally blind and couldn't see his popping cork, so he coached him all day and gave a lot of assistance to make sure he was catching fish and having a good time. He's already trying to think about the next trip with them and get a better color cork and set-up that the man may be to see on their next trip. He's also on Facebook at "Galveston Bay Fishing Trips", as well.

Inshore is more common. Just take a dart and throw it at a map of Galveston and you'll hit one of a dozen charters that is ranked 4.8 or better,

I'd look up Swamp Donkey Charters in Galveston. With your dads age I'm assuming throwing live bait would be easiest (less casting).

Sammy Guerrero is another great option. I've fished with him a couple of times and he always puts me on good fish.

Let me know if I can help. I have a big 26ft Southshore bay boat with huge over size TTop for some shade. 9'4" wide makes it very stable and lots of room. I take lots of disabled anglers, vets, first responders, kids, families.....even wheelchair bound anglers. Happy to get yall out on the water.
