I have built some bardo's .. depending on what you want .. i built them for $145 a ft w lot and drive way.. the average Joe May be able to get it done for $175 a ft if they are lucky. If you can do some of the work yourself I don't see why you cs t get it done for closer to $150 a foot or even less

If you have to check on the GC twice daily you might as well cut the GC out and do it yourself. If you know construction you will save 15-20% if you dont you will break even same time spent and the next time you do it you will save 10-15%.

I had a bad experience with my GC towards the end - he started cutting corners and trying to find ways to charge me more. Once was enough for me. And I agree if you have the time, being your own GC is the way to go
