I have used numerous On Time feeders. It's a mixed bag of good and bad.
The good: the timer unit is easy to mount under a barrel due to the funnel and mounting surface being the part that supports the timer housing. The funnel mounts on the outside rather than inside of the drum. The housing itself is a durable aluminum tube.
The bad: it has a light duty motor with a 1 /8" shaft that can bend easily. The spinner plate "ears" fatigue and break off over time due to being a weak grade of stamped aluminum.
The best, most reliable feeder timer is "THE TIMER," used in most of the high end feeders on the market. Pair it with a 12V 1 /4" shaft heavy duty motor and you have a system that will last for years.
Also, a word of advice: never use a feeder with a plastic drum/barrel. Over time, UV rays break it down and cause the plastic to become brittle, and squirrels will chew on the edges of the plastic.
I understand the need for hanging feeders. One of the places I hunt is in a River bottom area that floods so feeders must be off the ground a good ways. Unfortunately, there aren't many quality made hanging style feeders available. The best, most bulletproof one I'm aware of is this Lamco model:
