We're a bulldog family. We've always had English Bulldogs, but our last dog was an American Bully that we adopted. I gotta say, it was a great dog for our family. Anyway, she died a while back, and we finally decided it was time to get another pet in the house. We found a female American Bully that was dumped after someone pumped a couple litters out of her. Picked her up yesterday.

It's a larger pit bull minus the terrier. Considering it was abandoned there is little hope that it's a pure breed and probably has some pit in it. Pure American bully would have some flop in the ears. Would never have one of these creatures around my home, but to each their own.

There would be some flop in her ears if the breeder hadn't cropped her ears. You don't realize how much a dog tells you with their ears until they no longer have the ability to do it. It's a shame.

She is pure bred and was registered until she was spayed. She no longer became useful to the breeder, so they surrendered her to the shelter. Lame.

That is a beautiful dog. And God help anyone who tries to mess with your kids while he's around.

I got a dog from the local shelter and he looked mostly like a black lab, but with a little blockier head. I had his DNA tested out of curiosity and he turned out to be 50% American Staffordshire Terrier, 37% Lab and 13% misc. He's been a great dog.

American Bully's are good dogs. We have one which is my sons dog. Gets along with the two Weimaraner's. Plenty of room to run and exercise on the ranch, no problems being around livestock. Even thinks he's a hunting dog like the Weimaraner's when go bird hunting.
