Please tell me how it matters when we start a "weeknight" pitcher and everyone knows this is when you try new things. And EVERY thread on here that talks about post-season tallies up the W-L for SEC games. Can't recall mid-week games having a negative effect on rankings or post-season play.

I guess you can make an argument that if we are borderline post-season on the bubble...it might matter.

Again, this game in the W/L column in the SEC does not matter

I don't understand putting in your speed demon runners and then not letting them have a chance to steal.

Not happy in anyway with this L. The Ags had miscues in the field, plate and on the mound but lets not pretend Early is the only Aggie coach with a bad L in his career. Or the only SEC school not to have a bad one this season.

Yeah….. baseball is baseball, but we should never lose
to txstate,. Earley should know that…. it's demoralizing no matter how well we played and is a confidence killer before tu series. Whoever scheduled this midweek at this time should be kicked in the junk till he sees martians at blue bell.

Guys, guys. It's fine -- it's my sister's fault. She never watches baseball but had the game on because she was keeping my kids tonight. I will be sure to tell her not to watch at all going forward.

Texas also lost to Tarleton state and Houston and even went to South Carolina, last in the SEC.

Don't make it out to something it's not.

Yeah I know. We were basically the last team standing without an ugly Tuesday loss until tonight. Hell, swamptard is getting it handed to them by Bethune Cookman as we speak

I just can't stand how totally avoidable it was. It wasn't like we got beat 2-1 in some tough-luck pitcher's duel. We pitched like crap and had some horrible mental lapses in the field that directly contributed to this. Getting beat is one thing. Losing bc of outright sloppiness is another

It was a very disappointing 9-8 road loss to Texas State. As a result, we lost a Tuesday night game for the first time this season and dropped to 25-7. Hopefully, we can bounce back with a home series win against Texas in Jim Schlossnagle's return to College Station.

At least we're not the only ones losing tonight. Jax St beat Auburn 15-4 in 7 innings.

Tough loss but we fought all the way to the end.

I've been excited to see how this team handles this next upcoming series compared to last year's team.

Last year's team didn't handle the pressure of this sip series too well. Will this team be able to? We will see.

I agree. I'm not mad we lost, I'm mad in how poorly the team played overall tonight.

On the other hand, of the bad losses in the league tonight, A&M losing to TxSt. is the least egregious.

Dude. We've been over this multiple times on multiple threads -- he's not AI. He enjoys providing short yet precise recaps after every game in a manner that indicates he is highly intelligent and realistic. I for one greatly appreciate his recaps, especially on nights when I can't watch the game live, which is happening more and more these days, thanks to my job.

I will never understand why people assume that someone who can write in a sophisticated manner absolutely must be AI.....

I agree. How we played was the biggest disappointment.

The over the shoulder, basket catch GG dropped with two outs was a big moment in the game.

No one's going to remember this one after this weekend. Monday the only thing that will matter is if we won the series Vs the sips.
