agree 100% except a little South in Kimble county. Live water and Turkeys - good deer everywhere in those countiesMas89 said:
On a good, year round river. Mason county and the Llano River for me. Year round fishing, turkey hunting and plenty of rocks.

The Cimarron Valley Ranch is for sale in what was at one time Texas, and still just a few miles away...

If I'm spending $45 Million dollars on land in Colorado, it sure as hell isn't going to be flat, pasture land that has to be irrigated.EskimoJoe said:

Yes that is correct. But if I could afford any ranch I wanted in Texas, I could afford to make the kind of offer someone couldn't refuse.sunchaser said:
It sold a couple of years ago...
Glad to see all the love for my former hunting / stomping grounds. Generations of great management from some legendary ranches -- Matthews, Nail, Cook-Stasney -- have made those deer.bowhuntr said:

I'd rather buy this, knock down that ugly ass monstrosity of a house or carve it out on 100 acres, and not buy it at all instead.

Trust me.....he could refuse.
Sounds on point. In addition to my plowed sunflower fields for dove season and stocked tanks for fishing and ducks, I'd also clear out and sod three fairways and greens (each with 3 tee boxes at par 3, 4 and 5 distances) for my own golf course.AgLA06 said:
I'd be the opposite.
It would be my refuge from the BS of life. If I can afford whatever ranch I want, I can also afford a plane, runway, and hanger that allows for the ability to escape.
Hell, I was on a ranch last month that had all the above, and the owner described it as a small operation.
