About 3 hours. Down past Price and Helper. That drive through Price Canyon and Spanish Fork is incredible. Big ass wind turbines right at the entrance coming from SLC.

A little deeper rear forks would have got him to the 200" club.

I gotta ask and you don't have to say but was this on public? I've yet to go on my first western hunt but if this was a public DIY hunt it gives someone who can't afford to drop 10K, hope! Lol.

We hunted BLM (public) land. I hunted with a buddy that I've hunted with for about 4 years now. He's a guide in the area. Nowhere close to a $10k hunt. Much less. Like less than half of that. He only takes 1 archery, 1 muzzleloader, and 1 rifle hunter each year. He does it as a side gig / hobby rather than a full time job.

Eats just like white-tailed to me. I'm actually eating some ground right now from a muley I harvested near marathon last year.


It depends on their diet. Colorado not-corn-fed muley tastes better than Texas corn-fed white tail IMHO.
