It's not easy to "drop out" in this world, especially this country. He'd have to have a sponsor/benefactor who's supporting him to maintain complete anonymity this long. I think you overestimate some Tx State kid's ability to evade the system. More likely he's dead somewhere.

There are rumors going around that remains have been found on Salt Flat Road. Sherriffs Office will neither confirm nor deny those reports.

Seems like user 'imnag07' maybe did know something when they bumped the main thread with a very vague post along the lines that something was happening with the case. Then proceeded to not respond, got his post deleted by staff and the thread locked. Then shows up here and is the first person to thumbs up. I'm assuming this is a situation were the Outdoor Board knows things but cannot and should not say.

I thought those threads were getting deleted because there was a lot of wild speculation and it was determined some family members were reading the threads, but I might not remember that correctly.
