Pretty lean, pointy nose, not much gut or flanks. Fairly young. I'd go 3.5. Maybe 4.5 depending on how your herd tends to age.

Not usually between 3 and 5, unless there are environmental factors or injury. You'll never see the full potential of an absolute stud like this if you pop him young.

It all depends on where this ranch is and their management strategy.

Deer are aged by half year. Round butt. No chest, legs look long for the body. Classic

Agree 6.5. However he does not appear to have droopy eyelids or jowells. But unless he was ear tagged once he shows evidence of having been in some fights. One tell tale I always use on an older deer is if he walks and moves like a stiff old man ... usually indicating some arthritic joints from age.

I field scored this deer at 135 max which is considered a cull on my lease based off his age. Huge width maybe 22" at least but he needs a couple inches in height
