I know we've had threads before about the app and people claiming mountain lions in a subdivison or a bear in carizzo springs... but it's time for a compilation thread!

I'll start... someone posted this picture and here's a comment that made me LOL
"I LOVE ALL ANIMALS … just not when they kill / eat the other animals "

I guess the bobcat doesn't realize that HEB has quail, and therefore it must be his bloodlust that drives him to kill and eat the live ones.
"Green" is the new RED.

can't tell, what is the mountain lion eating there, a coon, dog, or somebody's kid

That's obviously a mountain lion carrying an infant it just snagged through an open nursery window.

I signed up for Nextdoor on the OB's recommendation. It is quite entertaining. Just this week I found out that there are black bears in La Vernia and some lady recommended caution in Stockdale so as not to disturb a mama mountain lion and her cubs. I'll most definitely keep my eyes peeled to keep from being mauled.

Not sure why we need wildlife agencies anymore to monitor wildlife populations when next door can show you how mountains have spread to every urban area in Texas. And it looks like bears are right behind them.

Just had a bobcat thread pop up in my notifications today. Coyotes are so common that they don't even get threads anymore.

Someone posted this video on the neighborhood FB page today frightened about coyotes getting their pets/children.

I was thinking to myself if my wife screamed like that with a coyote around I might have to find someone else. Then I saw this is cam footage from Los Angeles.... makes sense.

I mean the coyote legitimately tried to carry her child away so as far as screaming at animals goes I think it's pretty justified.....

That's a crazy video, I've never seen a coyote do anything other than run away whenever people are around.

I forget where in the Dallas area but there was a coyote attack on a small child in the last year or so (covid time blends together). Of course, contrary to what a lot of the locals have claimed it came out in the course of the investigation that there were people in the neighborhood feeding the coyotes and they've become habituated to people feeding them.

It's really amazing how many endangered species are flourishing in Comal County now that the City folk are moving away from the City's and entering semi-country life.

Just a few weeks ago over a half dozen people swear they saw a Jaguarundi and another dozen are seeing Ocelots on a regular basis.

This is not to mention how many Mountain Lions we now have in the subdivisions.

Umm do something about it instead of screaming? She's not screaming at the coyote to get gone. Shes not coming out to help her husband…She's literally just freaking out screaming "somebody help!" as the husband already had the child in his hands. He also did a pretty lame attempt to throw something at the coyote. I'm glad the child is safe but good Lord ….I guess I just can't stand screaming women. Same when somebody is just filming something bad happening and not doing anything about it. Pet peeves I suppose.

We had a post in Huntsville that a "pack of over 10 coyotes" were crossing a major roadway and we should "watch out for our small animals and children"

I forget which radio station it was... But it was totally legit you could just tell by the way it started...

Some KAREN calls in and starts griping about a deer crossing sign. There are 2 hosts on the radio. Anyway she starts blabbing on about how she does not like where the deer crossing sign is. She said its in the middle of the highway. Cohost A, will call Bob. Bob says ma'am, you know. And you can just sense that Cohost B, will call Tim.. Tim just slaps the holy crap out of Bob, put his hand in the center of his chest, and says, I got this.

He cuts Bob off from saying anything else. Tim to the lady on the call, please tell us more about this deer crossing...

Karen goes on to talk about where it is, why its so dangerous, what idiot put the sign there, who is in charge, what department could be so stupid. This literally goes on for 10+ minutes. No way it was staged, the way she talked and the passion in her voice along with her overall reasoning plus how Bob and Tim were reacting, zero chance this was a bit.

Finally, Tim says, Karen Bob has something to tell you. Karen, you do understand that deer can't read and have no idea about where to cross or that there is even a sign...

I have not laughed so hard at the radio if ever... Gold Jerry, Absolute Gold!!!!

Dude, the lack of intelligence out there is staggering...

I had a Board of Director Member at a publiclly traded company, ask why Bob was still employeed.

And I quote "Why is Bob Smith still employeed at this company" This SOB breaks stuff every freaking day it seems like. Who is his boss, WTH is going on"???

Sir, Bob Smith is our Director of Incident Management. He runs the call, gathers the right folks and gets the problem fixed. He then fills out the incident report with his name on it. Which is what you are reading...
