thanks for the feedback guys...i think we're mostly talking 100-150 yard shots at or around feeders.

This is tough.

First one you buy is a game changer. Crazy how much comes out after sunset.

Then you realize you need two. One to scan with and one to shoot with. I'm scanning with it off the gun, when I have something to shoot I put it back on the rifle (thanks to quality qd mounts that hold zero) but it's slow and clumsy in the dark.

Then you realize you need to upgrade.

It's expensive but a lot of fun.

I'm currently using a used super Hogster, great bang for the buck.

Also base mag is important, digital zoom gets grainy fast. You have to find that sweet spot between field of view and a good base mag for your setup. I think 3 is right for where I'm at.

BTS 35. I was doing those for like $1650 late last year and texags literally cleaned me out. They were a steal. In fact, my dad hijacked one of them, haha.
