My dad has a similar allergy and almost died from a dozen or so bites. Strongly recommend the epi pen on standby if they begin to cause breathing issues.

Sprayed Taurus SC around outside but i just found some black ants coming out of a door frame in the guest bathroom. I effing hate ants.

Extinguish plus.

Apply in the mid afternoon when ants are active with no rain for 3 days. It uses corn starch as a carrier and rain will dissolve it.
Potato chip idea is good. But I have found usually around 3-5 pm.

It will take about 3 days to kill the mound, but will kill it completely.

I agree also about going to neighbors and treating by common property lines
even if you have to pay or do it yourself. Still way cheaper than ER visit.

I usually get my extinguish plus on Amazon or local hardware store that is not
a big box store. They won't carry the good stuff anymore. Home Depot offerings are
like 10 or 20x less active ingredient than extinguish plus.
