Cross-posted from the Aggieland board

Anyone know of a professional knife sharpening service in B/CS?

I have 5-6 kitchen knives I want sharpened. Would prefer to do business with a local instead of shipping them off to Knife Aid.

Thanks.

I thought there was some kid on here who was doing it to help get cash for school. Can't remember his name but someone else may know

TheVarian, was going to post the same thing. I found his original thread with his contact info in his OP. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas!

Brennan did 8 or 10 for me after Thanksgiving. He was very easy to work with and did a fantastic job

There is a man that sharpens knives on Fridays at the Cameron Ranch Food Mart in Bryan. The store address is 1414 FM 2223. The guy does a great job and is reasonably priced. Not sure of his actual hours but I think he leaves about 12. He is only there on Fridays.

Thank you all for the replies! Now that it's been brought up, I remember that thread from the student offering sharpening services. I'm glad to see a review as well! I'll try him out!

Question

I have a nice set of knives that I've had for 8 or 10 years. 2 have the tips chipped off. I keep them sharp myself with a Worksharp, but that doesn't address the busted tips. Can a professional knife sharpener correct that or does it have to go to a smith?
