What you got? Dad had $300k per instance and $5k medical through his USAA homeowners. I'm thinking that might not be enough.

I have had a million umbrella dollar policy. Was pretty cheap, but it required high limits on the underlying policies, house and car

I have a million dollars policy on my 20 acres through Texas Farm Bureau. Cost like $95 a year.

I have a lot more than the above, it is expensive and topped off with an umbrella policy. Livestock, hunting, UTV's, tower blinds, tractors, etc can really cause some damage that $300k is but a drop in the bucket.

ETA: My tractor accident earlier this year has run up bills over $50,000.

I have something similar and then a secondary policy for tractors, utv's, etc for loss (stealing).

I was surprised how cheap the liability portion was.

I would recommend looking into Texas Farm Bureau.

My agent is Clayton Hollis. Good dude.

I have the same on my ranch, one million umbrella policy with my other coverage through Farm Bureau. Not cheap but will be worth it if that aw S moment happens.

While you're at it, I might suggest you post a couple of the new Texas Farm Animal Liability signs.

State Auto has a good farm and ranch program. I wrote one for a guy outside of Bay City on 133 acres for $210 last week. Liability only, no structures, etc..
