This area of the ranch is looking great for deer and still has good mature bucks.

The southern part of the ranch that got hit harder has normal numbers of deer coming into feeders now but that's a separate lease.

My family and I are on the North / Northeast side of the ranch that then borders the northeast side of this lease and I couldn't notice a difference in whitetail numbers when anthrax had hit. So it really seemed very hit and miss.

I'm working on putting together a map that better shows it all and will have that uploaded in just a minute

Walk in cooler is at headquarters, not the lease camp. So that area has electricity.

I've hunted in that area in the past and love the topography. Reminds me of hunting public land out west.

I'm shocked that I don't have a better picture or pictures of this. I could have sworn I've taken them but I guess I just forget to do it every time because a picture doesn't do it justice.

Anyway, this one picture that I have found is actually on the advertised lease land looking down onto the lease land that goes to Howard Draw Rd. Top upper left of the drawn maps. You can see the crooked part of the road on the maps and pictures to get an idea of a part of the lease. Great ridges looking down which give great opportunities if you like to glass and not sit in a stand. Terrible picture but I'll be out there on Tuesday to get more pictures and what not.

But on a more serious note, zero plans of selling for the rest of my life and I'm '09.

Another group of hunters, that are now on a majority of the ranch, expanded their lease last year after guys that had been on it for more than a couple decades left (with anthrax we had given them a year off without charging and then they didn't come back so next guys in line were already there then gobbled it up!)

Good stuff OP, there are always shiploads of folks looking for a lease on here. Based on prior inquiries, there should be a line of OBers jumping on this. Even after those who are looking for something within 2 hours of BCS and Htown.

Interested but just out of curiousity- what do you mean "exotics are not included."

Does that mean they're off-limits or that they would be an extra cost?

They are currently off limits.

Beyond aoudad I have not even seen exotics on the ranch.

There are ranches nearby that they've spotted elk, axis, fallow, and blackbuck. If herds of those started showing up on the ranch or this lease then we would have to reevaluate.

Didn't lease this out last year (it also wasn't hunted) so I've updated the original post with better-organized pics/vids and cleaned up this thread.

I have been getting lots of emails about this lease from when I had posted in another thread about a week ago but didn't want to hijack a thread.

The Monarch Butterflies are awesome. I've seen them a few times but nothing like that, incredible!

They really are one of the coolest things to see! I've only caught them when they were going down south in the fall and haven't yet been able to see them coming up through the spring. Not sure if they use a different route going north or if I just haven't been lucky yet

Can we get a WAG of what something like this runs? How much per acre is average? I am just wondering as my son really lives to hunt and I may want to grab a spot on a lease someday soon. I am sure there are lots of variables like utilities available, animals often encountered etc. I am just looking for a rough range.
