Yeah I know funny guy that's what they do, but not like this. Is this a result of the freeze? and will they be ok? I have two of these trees and both are doing this.

Damn. That's 66% of the trees in my front yard.

And my kids have climbed in these things for literally 20 years. They still climb these trees.

My lacebark budded just before the snowpocalypse.

I have a few branches with green leaves, but its still mostly bare.

No peeling like OP, so I'm really hoping it survived.
