MSM is the way to go.

Chaparral if you have some brush.

Cimarron Max if you just want the MSM.

If you own the woods burn them too, shoot the pigs as they try to escape.

My suggestion is to forget Randy Lemmon's advice unless you have money to burn. He is a communications major not someone in the agriculture/horticulture area of expertise. I highly suggest you contact Brad Pierce at bwpierce2011@gmail.com and see when he is going to have his next Pasture Improvement Workshops and brush control seminars. He is the best. You will find what to use on the pasture to make a great hay field or cattle/horse pasture. His phone number is 512-354-0018. You will get CEU's for the class. The cost of the class is about $50 but that includes lunch. He has these classes all over the area. You will thank me later. Well worth the money to get your place in ship shape.

Your buddies are right. Use MSM which is generic Cimmaron at 1/3 oz per acre for Bahia. If wanting to kill weeds use 1/2 oz per acre. It takes longer for weeds to turn than most other products but it works well.

Am I confusing MSM with MSMA? Cimmaron is certainly a sulfanylurea, like Ally.

OP do you deer hunt? Deer like weeds.

They are the same actives, but Ally is not labeled for the uses described by the OP. Only fallow. Follow the label, the target crops are usually reflected in the price as well.

Last I checked, Ally certainly was approved for removing Bahia from Bermuda.

Perhaps since DuPont sold all their crop protection products to FMC, Ally is now Ally XP, with a new label? It may have a supplemental label for use, but it is not on the actual label. I'm not sure if the old DuPont Ally is actually available.

Either way, a generic MSM or Cimarron will be a more cost effective option.
