Does anyone here wear snake boots?
I'm curious about any recommended brands or features to look for.
A neighbor of mine got bit by a rattle snake late last summer. The total hospital bills for that snake bite ran approximately $240,000.
So I think that $300 or so for an effective pair of snake boots could be well worthwhile.
When I was a kid, we had peacocks which helped limit the number of rattlesnakes near the house. The closest I ever saw a rattlesnake to the house as a kid was about 300 feet. Without peacocks to keep them down, we've had rattlesnakes within inches of where we have to walk when walking up to or away from the front door of the house.
Any suggestions? Is there any problem with snake boots that aren't very protective from snake bites?
The only place I know of in Amarillo that carries them is Cavenders. Does anyone know of other stores that carry them?
