For my very active 10mo old yellow lab?

I currently have him on extreme dog fuel but he has the ****s. We just finished an antibiotic to get rid of some bacteria in his stomach but he still has the ****s and so i want to change up his food as an alternative.

We feed Costco brand to our Dachshund and Labradoodle with great results.

That's like a Ford, Chevy, or Ram question. My dog eats the Hills Science Diet though.

We feed our retriever purina pro plan large breed. Can't say its the "best" because I'm not an expert but her poops are solid generally.

Purina One Chicken & Rice for my GSP and wife's yappy Snorkie.

Both seem happy with it and no squirts.

Our dogs thrive on Purina Dog Chow. Two Labs, two Catahoula/Australian Shepherd crosses, all over 3 yrs old. Not house dogs, not penned, so excrement volume is not a factor.
If they had any more energy, would need to add a sedative to their food...

We feed our 3 German shepards Blue Buffalo.

They love it and rarely have the ****s or gas. It's not cheap, we have a 14yr old that can still jump into trucks no problem.

We feed our dogs Fromm Naturals Gold.

We have a mini aussie with extremely sensitive skin and she has no issues with it. Both of our dog's coats look great.

Agree with Victor. Feed our Weimaraner the VICTOR Purpose Ultra Pro Grain-Free Dry Dog Food. Their canned food is good too. Mix some of that in with the dry. You can get it to your door with Chewy.

Big fan of chewy. When we put our basset hound down, we had forgotten to cancel her auto-delivery dog food. When I contacted them, they refunded me no questions asked and they just said donate the food to the shelter, and then sent us flowers a few days later.

Victor is probably one of the best values it there. High quality product at reasonable price. Texas made too, I think.

We do Taste of the Wild. Fish flavored.

We did Muenster for a while, and then they increased price 50% overnight. We've been doing Exclusive for a few years now at the recommendation of the feed store after the price increase. Very quality ingredients for the price and every 8th bag I think is free.

My 15mo lab is doing great on pro plan sport 26-16. Switched him to that from blue due to farting issues on the blue at about 6 months old.

Our GSP too. Victor was recommended by her breeder. She'll be 4 in May.

My Irish wolf hound had all sorts of issues on ridiculously expensive Stella food. Tried supplements with no help. Switched to Victor - reasonably priced - and instantly fixed things.

Older boxer mix is still on Purina One Senior.

Had good luck with Nutro Essentials with both dogs. My brittany had stomach issues on Iams (where she would throw up multiple times a week) and switching her to Nutro made all that go away.

Many of the posters could buy another gun or two, maybe some ammo, on the excess paid for dog food.
Several times the veterinarians on the board have stated dog food is marketed to owners, the benefits
to the dog very questionable.
And yes I know there are some dogs that need kangaroo/emu, grain-free, speciality food...

The DVMs have clearly stated some aren't just questionable benefits but some fad dog foods can actually be harmful.

Whatever's on sale at Heb. If my worthless mutts were delivering a vaccine to remote Alaska or saving Timmy from danger I might increase the dog food budget, but when your career accomplishment is leaving dead squirrels on the back porch, you get bargain brand.

Have any of you ever tried GentleGiants dog food? It was developed by Burt Ward, aka Robin from the old Batman TV series. He claims your dog will live into its 20s if you use it. I heard him on an interview and he came across as sincere and he has a lot of testimonials. Hard to believe, but ??
