The Disappeared episode last night was well done. I think the sherrif is too stubborn to believe anything other than wild hogs ate him.

Just watched the Disappeared episode. Tomorrow is the anniversary. Can't imagine what his family has gone through these few years.

Stopped to meet his dealer and things got sideways.

He's from Missouri City living in San Marcos (a college town). I doubt he'd know anyone from Luling or have to go there to find drugs. Plus the type of drug dealer living in Luling is different from a college town and I doubt a young college student would be conducting business or even know them in the first place. This kid was supposedly known to smoke weed and maybe do shrooms. That's somewhat normal for a college student and not your harder drugs like coke, heroine, meth, etc. normally associated with violent activity.

I think a more likely scenario is:
a. He stumbled upon some rural tweakers and something happened where they thought necessary to kill him and disposed of his body elsewhere. I doubt this because in an unplanned hastily unorganized attack by people on drugs you'd think there'd be more evidence left like blood, shell casings, etc.

b. He had a mental breakdown, wrecked his car, wandered off, and they still have yet to find his body but it's out there somewhere. A&M's Thomas Johnson supposedly had a breakdown and took off walking from CS towards Dallas. Maybe this kid is in the next county somewhere.

I'm going with B.

Just a weird story though and at this point it seems like we'll never know. I drive right past this place a few times a month on my way from Austin to the coast and think about it every time. Just strange.

When a person says there are fates worse than death as a parent of two children this would be it for me. Thoughts and continuing prayers for his family.

I'm not a psychology expert but this guy was at the right age for onset of schizophrenia, had his fish in cup, and apparently removed all his clothes in the road. And if I remember correctly I believe it was also said he was having delusions. Maybe it's not schizophrenia, but that's indicative of some type of mental breakdown to me. A kid smoking pot by itself does not make me believe his death/disappearance is drug deal related. Kids in College Station don't drive to Hearne to buy pot.

TJ had schizophrenia and no one monitored his meds while he was at school. He got off them and that's why he devolved into his illness, walked to Dallas and decapitated a jogger with a machete.

The murder was a year or two after he quit school.

Jason's parents are Ags and his father was my roommate. I've known both his parents since 7th grade. Tragic story.

If you are from the area around Luling and Seguin, you know about the Silver Wolf Ranch. It is it's own little country, cult in my opinion. The leader has died but kids are probably running it now. That is where I think he ended up. It is shady AF. It is not far and he could have been easily picked up.
