He has several very distinguishable moles on his face. I realize why they're prob waiting for fingerprint but I bet they're already confident one way or the other.

Jason's nose is wider and the nose holes are more symmetrical in pictures on the missing person page. If he had his nose broken several times, would it change those characteristics?

I still lean no with the side by side. Nose is different. He doesn't seem like the type to groom his eyebrows pre-disappearance so there's too much difference in growth. Cheeks don't look quite right. I guess it depends on what could cause the nose differences.

Hope its him, would be a miracle. But, comparing pics of the missing person to that of the unidentified New Yorker don't seem to match. Most obvious detail for me is the widow's peak/no widow's peak on the hairline. Eyebrows and nose also look fairly different.
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

Agree, even though he is squinting in the 2nd pic, nose still doesn't really match.

Coulda been broken a few times since he has been missing....

Yea I knew what you meant, I was simply stating that while that may be the case, Josh's nose was very bulbous and hospital guys nose is very sharp and has a point on both sides of the tip of his nose. I dont think a broken nose would do that. So while you're right that the bridge looks like it could have been broken, I dont think it explains what I was discussing above.

I have no basis for assuming this is the case and am completely speaking out of my ass as someone who knows nothing medical or otherwise. That said if certain drugs are involved it could be a factor in appropriate visual recognition. I've seen drugs legit change someone's facial structure with heavy use. Especially meth -- I've always said methheads start looking like gargoyles....their ears start pointing, and the nose gets pointy. Not saying it's applicable here, but mainly because some changes in facial structure to the naked eye may not be a disqualifier. At least IMO.

I think it's Jason. Certainly there is hope bias but the similarities are there and the differences IMO aren't exclusive. Looks like this man's nose has been broken.

The family is being cautious:

Jason's face seems to be slightly pitted due to acne scars. The John Doe doesn't have that to me. In fact, John Does skin looks pretty good relative to the idea that you'd expect Jason would have probably been using drugs heavily the past year+ he's been missing.
