If he was a Fort Hood soldier, the media would be all over this. Because of the narrative of deaths, missing people, murders going on there recently.
Why would it be a non issue?Stat Monitor Repairman said:
I wanna point out that if this incident had occurred 800 miles to the west or north, the whole 'illegal narcotics' would be a total non issue.
And to the extent applicable, the K2 / chinese synthetic weed theory would be a non-issue as well.
Also, if this was a homicide involving some drug related dispute ... also, probably a non issue.
Just sayin.

Does Waze show where cops are? Maybe there was activity on 183 and he was nervous about what he had in the car and was looking for alternate route? Maybe priors? Yep, I know. Overthinking!

Weird, is that an iPhone thing? My Note 8 doesn't do that but the only other thing that gets used while Waze is running is an mp3 player app.Mr. AGSPRT04 said:Burdizzo said:
Turning off the Waze is also a question for me. I use Waze pretty regularly on long trips even when I know where I am going. I only turn it off when I get to my destination or if I need to save battery or data. If I get lost at night, I would not turn off Waze.
If I open or even use another app while running Waze, it oftentimes shuts down Waze forcing me to restart. Could have happened here.
Based on the evidence photos in the article, the kid looks like a typical recreational user. You'd probably find the same thing in a quarter of the dorms and apartments at TSU. Looks fairly typical for a college kid.SWC Ag said:John Cocktolstoy said:Why would it be a non issue?Stat Monitor Repairman said:

Because he's a pothead and is attempting to be clever by using other states' marijuana laws to make a stupid point.
That would make sense why he might have turned off 183 onto a "backroad".....but why would he turn Waze off? Wouldn't it make more sense to leave it on....so he would know where the cops/sheriff dept. were located? (using this theory)..... I thought he cut Waze off in Luling?Burdizzo said:UhOhNoAgTag said:

Yes. Think of it as crowdsourcing Smokey Report.

From what I can tell they actually don't have any evidence that he was in his car at any point during that night.

May simply be a bad photo, but that weed looks off to me. Looks more like what I imagine that synthetic **** would look like.
