How can I find out if someone has used their one-time deferral of hunter ed? Can't seem to find out online.
LOL you haven't met her. I will call TPWD.CS78 said:
I would think that person would know. Otherwise, probably going to have to call.
Post her pic and I'll let you know if I've met her before.K_P said:LOL you haven't met her. I will call TPWD.CS78 said:

This worked perfect - thanks!FSGuide said:
If you know some of her basic info like full name and DOB and her TPWD customer number (can be found on old license) you can download the outdoor annual app and add her in the licenses section. It will show if she's had it. I just checked the app and my wife's deferral from 2017 shows up.

That was originally the plan. Then they tried to age band the req., then just threw in the towel.ursusguy said:
Keep in mind Texas is somewhat of an oddball on the matter, a lot of states will flat out not sell you a hunting license without it.
Actually, it's If you were born on or after September 2, 1971.Aggieangler93 said:
You don't need this if you were born before April 1971, BTW. JIC some folks missed that part. Who else here squeaked by with less than a month to spare?

Yes, for Texas. I guess I shouldn't have assumed folks knew I was talking about the greatest state in the union.FSGuide said:Aggieangler93 said:

That's for Texas. I'm a 1970 baby so I never had to have Hunters Ed until I booked a Mulie hunt in Wyoming. Their cut off date is 1955 DOB I think.

Do you have to take one in each state?
This is not correct. 16 and younger cannot do it all online in Texas. 17 and older, can. This is as per the TPWD site and these regs only apply if you are hunting in Texas (other states likely have hunters ed requirements too, so use your google skills to find them):FSGuide said:
17 years and younger can't do it all on line. They have a field portion
