Anyone have any insight into good Vizsla breeders around the state? I've got a friend whose been trying to get one and having trouble. Was expecting one from a breeder in SA but the litter was smaller than expected.

Won't be a hunting dog, just a companion. He's in Houston but I'm sure he's willing to travel.

Brother is waiting on litter from Texas Vizsla Bulverde. Previous dog was from an old Hungarian couple out of The Woodlands I can only assume is no longer around.

My Vizsla is from Redneck Kennels and I can't recommend them enough. Not only did Ray give me a dog that is a hunter, he also provided me with the genealogy back to the 19th century.

I've spoken with Ray at least 10 different times since I purchased my dog from him. Most of the time he calls me to check on his dog. He cares and he can help you with any training you might need.

$1500. You'll likely need to wait for a bit as well. Ray only breeds Vizslas.

Sorry for bragging, but we got Zipp trained at Anderson Gun Dogs in Olney, TX. They told me she was the best Vizsla they had ever trained and even put her picture on their website.

I saw that you purchased a Vizsla from Joe Mac Darter back in 2016 - showed up on an old forum post. We are looking into a possible puppy. I was wondering how your Vizsla is doing, and where you happy with the decision? He is pretty old school, so there is not a lot of readily available information about him.

Random but I got 2 Vizslas from Joe MacDarter in 2016 also. I wonder if we have the same litter? Ours have been great family dogs and one of the 2 is a good hunter. The other was never interested but loves to run and be around it. Joe is a really nice guy and knows the breed well. It's a bit of a haul up to OK but well worth the trip. Only charged $900/ea for ours.

My in-laws got one from Ray Cooper and she's by far the best hunter of the group. That dog can run like I've never seen. She's also the only Vizsla I've ever seen be aggressive towards some folks, but that could be a complete coincidence. Ray seems to have to hunter genes down pat and has a really solid bloodline.

I loved my Vizsla's. Best damn family dogs ever.

i got a male from Joe Mac in 2018 and he has been an excellent companion. i was nervous when i rolled up to his property after a 7 hour drive, but the dog has been great. we are not hunters, but he can mountain bike for 10+ miles in a day no problem.

not sure if its the dog or my fault, but he can't poop on a leash.

We got our female vizsla from Joe Mack Darter in late summer of 2016. Her name is Shiner and she was born on June 17, 2016. She's the best companion anyone could ask for. I had her bird dog trained and probably shot 200+ doves/quail with her and lost 1.

Joe Mac recently passed away and we're fostering to adopt one of his dogs through Vizz Whizz Rescue.

I've got an awesome Weimaraner breeder recommendation if you'd rather have a gray one.
