I am in the market for 300 win mag and 22-250 if anyone is willing to sell.

Any specific bullet in 300 win mag? I see it from time to time. How many boxes?

I prefer ELD-x but I would take any respectful hunting bullet at this time.

I see 300 Win Mag at Wal Mart often. I know CS Wal Mart off Harvey Mitchell had some last weekend. I am not sure if they still do.

Yep...the same ones I guess. The box looked like the Remington Premiere shotgun shell box design. Dark green and a dark gold. I am not sure if that is the correct line or not, but trying to describe it in terms I know.

Solid selection at Academy off of 59 ITL this morning. Probably getting bought up now but had lots at 9:30 when I went by.

Random ammo musings/observations from gun show in MT last weekend:

I sold boxes of 300WM for $60/box...all 8 sold (one guy took them a few tables away and put $80/box on them, he still had them all when it closed up Sunday).

The going rate for 'green tip' was $1/round, with some asking $1.25...not sure how many sold. I sold a few boxes for 75cpr.

The going rate for other 223/556 was about 90cpr...not sure how much sold. I sold one case of 1000 for $675 and you would have thought it was Christmas day for the guy who bought it.

22lr was all over the place...from 15-30cpr. one old codger with a stack of $100s that could choke a donkey bought 8k rounds from my buddy for 13.5cpr

9mm was 75cpr+...i sold 15 boxes of wolf steel for 27.50/box...I would wager it was the cheapest 9mm at the show by a good bit.

45 was probably $1

Tables were selling 17HMR for $30/50...unreal

People were primarily asking for 30/30, 45/70 38/357, 380, 25-06, more 'random' cartridges (I guess because you could find 223, 9mm, etc everywhere)

As did the CS Academy at 11:00 AM. Wife picked up two boxes of much needed 95 gr.380 ACP and I snagged two boxes of Sig Sauer 120 gr 300 Black Out. The .380 (Federal/American Eagle) was $23 a box and the .300 BO was $27. That's about a 10-20% markup pre Covid. Excluding Wolf or Tul brand steel the internet prices for the same calibers, when you can find it, are, at a minimum, easily 2-4 X more than the Academy price.

Son went by 1:30. Said there was still a lot of ammo on the shelves.

Bastrop Academy had a good bit of Blazer 124gr 9mm and Federal 115gr 9mm as well as plenty of steel 7.62x39 and .22 lr and mag yesterday afternoon. Are expecting trucks everyday this week, though not all guaranteed to have ammo. Remington 9 was 17.95/50 and Blazer was 19 or so for 50.

Interesting the retail prices are trickling up. 40cpr for 9mm retails almost makes it worth paying 50cpr online and not waiting.

Ugggh maybe they will have some this weekend.

Paid 8 cpr for 22lr hollow point varmint loads at heights Walmart. Store clerks looked at me like a damn terrorist for buying ammo; Latinos in store all scooted off to ammo cabinet to get something.

Academy in Victoria had the whole shelf full yesterday. 4-5 brands of handgun ammo. Even had 380, which has been hard to find.

Gonna trade my purchase for some plywood for my retirement portfolio.

Good ammo.

I didn't buy enough for 33cpr.

Then I didn't buy enough for 58cpr.

Now I won't buy it.

There's been a lot of those WWB and Green Tip 556 200 packs at multiple Academy's around Houston.

WWB - 60cpr+tax
Green tip - 65cpr+tax

Got enough to feel good about my supply for awhile. I'm done at this point.

Retail finally driving up prices helps supply a little, no idea what prices are going to do short or long term though.

I know this isn't ammo but it is ammo related...Anyone know where to get some magazines for a Shield Plus? Specifically the 13 round ones?

The only thing I have seen consistent throughout all of this at Academy are Shields, P365s, and their accessories.
