Figure this may be an ongoing thing at least through the year. Got a helpful hint off the 9mm ammo thread and beefed up my 9mm stock. May be good to have a running thread where we can share links / sales / trade offers or needs for ammo of all calibers.

I'd be interested in any available .380ACP - looks completely barren online except for $1/round landed off gun broker for WWB - goes up from there. Found .380 for 50 cents/round landed.

Well stocked on 9mm and .223/.556 if any interests in trades. NW Houston area.

I believe I have 200 rounds of steel case 9mm. I'm looking for either .45 ACP, but would prefer .308/7.62x51 exchange/trade.

You probably got the same email from CTD. What a rip off. They also have 50 round boxes of 9mm for $55. I thought I was getting ripped at $20.

Finishing up my first AR build and have ZERO ammunition. Would I be absolutely crazy for buying steel 223 for 52 CPR after shipping? Pardon the pun, but do I just bite the bullet? There is only way that I see these prices moving for the next 9 months at least.

If you're starting at zero I'd shop for the best deals over the next week or two (don't see a lot of movement in the extreme short term) and buy the minimum based on whatever your need is. Light range day? Handful or boxes for hunting season? Self Defense? Start your own militia? Stock up for the next 4 years?

Despite the "percentage increase" on some of my recent purchases, I haven't actually spent a significant amount more dollar wise on 2000-2500 rounds of various hand gun ammo that makes me feel better about my stash for the next year. Shopped for the "best" deals I could find over the course of a week or two, and in the current environment, made out OK all things considered.

So, that means no one buys. Capitalism - supply and demand. Heck, ammo seek shows cheapest 9mm at 46 cents per round - and that's steel made in Russia!! Bet malfunctions on that crap is around 5%. That 35-40 cent per round for Federal brass FMJ this morning looks out of this world.

Guess it depends on your gun, but mine will eat wolf steel like it's candy. Sent plenty down range this morning. The only issue that I have is that they are dirty and it makes it worse suppressed.
