Just got the game camera up this past weekend. The below deer seems to be pretty solid with what looks like a split left G3. Guessing the G2s and G3s to be in the 11-12" range. Can't tell much about his width, but doesn't look like anything special. Maybe 17". Looks pretty symmetrical and looking forward to seeing a pic of him looking right at the camera. I'm thinking upper-150s to lower-160s. Hopefully some more pics from different angles will come through over the next few days.
This 6x6 showed up last year around this time, so I'm happy he's come back. For scale, that feeder is about 6' tall. There have been less hogs lately, and the mule deer have started to come down to the feeder more.
Here's a few that have been pretty regular at one of my stands. I'm after either the big 8 or the 11...hoping I can put my son on the gnarly one for his first buck. Thoughts on age on the 3?
I say different. Look at last year deers left brow tine. It kicks way back. That should transfer to this year. Look at the stickers on last years left beam. Should be some of that going on again. Also, think last years deer looks older. He should be a looker if he made it through.
It is really hard to tell the difference in these 2. I am trying to age them, as to me they look really old/mature in their body shape. The horns are not that heavy to indicate a lot of age though, but thinking that might just be a lack of nutrition? Look at their pot bellies, large necks/briskets, roman nose, etc. Any help in aging one or both would be appreciated.
