I have an 8 year old MS 250. I've mainly used it to limb trees, cut up dead trees in the hay field, and to clear fence lines. I don't have any issues starting it, but I got started on my Dad's Stihls in 90s, so I guess i knew the "trick" without ever even thinking about it.

Like others have said, mine leaks bar oil. Guess I didn't get the memo on the recall.
