Disclosure: I've never used them for shark bait. But I've seen a bunch of them mauled and dead on the beach.

If you have anyone going to Thailand, you can probably get a pair there if you find the right shop. I got some manta ray boots gave em to my dad when I got back. Tough as heck. Shark, elephant, and crocodile are all available.

My uncle had a big one mounted in his meat market that they caught back in the commercial fishing heyday. No back flippers from the sharks eating them off before they could get it in.

You might find some on ebay that are old. My cousin has some that he either bought on ebay or inherited from his grandfather. I can't remember which.

So these 5 people are pressing in on Dave and he's caught completely off guard. Some words were said and it was getting heated (Dave's from Philly and doesn't take ****). Lucky for everybody, charge nurse came by and broke it all up. Still a sore subject for those involved.

I'm reminded of what one of my managers used to say for this at big client dinners. Completely off color. And it completely spiraled the meeting into a quick awkward uneasy atmosphere.

Saw this exact pair of boots today at a shop in Round Top Texas. They were size 10 D and they were asking $385 for them. If they had been a size 12, they would have go home with me. Still there as of 3:00 this afternoon

Which shop? Were they in as good a shape as the ones pictured?

The sea turtle was in really good shape. I didn't see any obvious damage. The uppers were also fine. The soles were not as nice as this pictured but you can always get resoled
