Seen this discussed on all the other forums, but no one has started a thread here on the Beretta 92X, so I thought I would.

Rumor is that the MSRP for the base model is in the $1399. All steel Beretta with a thumb safety and some added features.

The standard model interests me the most, but obviously that model will cost even more, probably.....

Not available in the USA yet - but hopefully soon. I do wish it had the standard 92 grip. But, word is that it may come with a conversion grip similar to the M9A3 conversion grip.

Yep. Hated that thing.

I will give it this: the first time I ever saw someone operate the safety how it was designed though, I actually understood it... No one ever taught me that way.

Lots of great ideas for competition oriented shooters. It should be a good competitor to CZ's shadow pistols.

For those talking about the slide mounted safety, it's now easy to swap to G config (lever is decocker only) like it should have been from the get go. I have a Wilson Combat 92G compact carry, it's a great pistol and the decocker is easy and intuitive to use. It's a great DA/SA alternative to a Glock 19, and now that Mec Gar is going to do 15rd 92 compact mags it can match capacity.

Vertec grip is best. Yes they should all be G models. Safety doesn't need to be left on in a DA/SA pistol so I don't get all the safety *****ing. I only ever used mine as a decocker.
