Insurance says "we can fix that".
And that's the problem. The person with the camera is like "oh, let me get a picture of this!" instead of helping a woman in distress stuck in her car. I mean, that deer wasn't going anywhere... help the woman first.

I generally agree, and that may be the case here, but at least a trooper is helping her. He may have told the bystander to stay put after assessing the situation...or it could have been the person who was riding passenger...who knows.
I definitely agree with you though in general. That's one of my major pet peeves with modern society.
Just blows my mind that he was able to get wedged up in there like that.
Can anyone identify the car model? Make sure I never get one as a rental. Seeing as the top rolls back like it was hit by a can opener.
I had a deer almost hit me in the same spot on my vehicle, back when I was at A&M. In my case, I got very lucky, as I saw the deer coming from the left , and had room/time to swerve right, just barely.
The buck's horns happened to straddle the crosspost in my vehicle, so the deer's right antler broke my driver side window, but the buck itself, did not enter the vehicle. Had I not seen it, and swerved, ducked, and pushed my wife's head down towards the floorboard, we could have had a lot different result, as he would have come through the front windshield.
I am still thankful that I saw him coming that night. The collision spun him 180 after his horns impacted the crosspost (I was doing 45mph), his rear hit the back quarter panel of my vehicle, and he was gone into thin air. We circled back to my in-laws house about 5 miles away, and once we got the glass out of our hair, we picked up a pistol and went back. We never found a trace of blood or hair where he impacted us. We were planning to put him out of his misery.

You are probably correct. I just randomly saw it on imgur.com. It says SA there but, you know, internet accuracy and all.

I heard this was in Maryland, but luckily they found an Aggie vet nearby. Long story short, the deer will have a complete recovery and should go home tomorrow.hot_rod_9384 said:

What happens to the deer carcass in these cases?
In my state the person that hit it has 1st right to claim via salvage tag. If they decline anyone present at the scene can claim 2nd. Then anyone that come upon the carcass can receive a salvage tag.AgBQ-00 said:

Wife had a deer run head first into her car a few years ago.
It was a buck, hit the front quarter panel and caved that in along with the drivers side door and tore up the hood
$7,000 later it was fixed. Unbelievable the amount of damage they can cause.
