This is on our second spread set up too. We moved around noon to a better spot. So the mallard starts working in perfectly and we both got ready. Just being clear, yes, it was only one duck. Today's strategy is go where the ducks were yesterday. We'll see how that goes.

Well at least you weren't skunked. Probably not the hunt you were hoping for when you traveled that far, but **** happens. Still got the afternoon. Never know what will happen.

Overall it's been a good trip. Got to catch up with a friend and do the public hunting thing. I would HIGHLY recommend any duck hunters to go hunt in Idaho, but book a hunt with pros that have private land and try to find nastier weather. Today was calm, clear and warm. Not ideal. I can't get over how many birds are here, but it's just hard to bring them in on that open water. Heading to the airport (flight is already delayed 30 minutes) then back to Texas. I'll try to post a few more pics from here.

And yea, this was way better than Sean's elk hunt!!

Found a brewery to eat at before I leave this place. Pretty good except for the fact they don't have any good beer..

HOLY CRAP!!! GIDDINGS SHOT SOMETHING?

Supposably this past weekend it looked like a battle zone out there. There's basically a few huge groups (10's of thousands of birds) that come in off the reservation across the river and everything that comes in only goes to the big groups. It's really cool to see that many flying though.

Warned you will drink all their ****ty beer?
