Anyone have a Tikka they want to sell? Something with a standard bolt face. .308 preferred. I would consider other makes. Looking to start a project. Looking for light, short, threaded .308. Industry says I can only pick 2.

savage ultralite is what you seek then. I bought one for the wife in 308 and she loves it.

Barrel is 6" longer than I want.

find a Tikka T3X action on snipershide or longrangehunting, get a prefit carbon barrel, and a XLR folding chassis. enjoy your tack driving pack gun.

Problem with light rifles (steel barrel) is that sometimes the barrel contour is too thin to thread. Thats my understanding anyways.

I have a savage "hog hunter" that came with a 20" barrel (I think). I'd sell it , but I'm not sure I'd consider it light weight

Tikka T3 Light is thick enough to thread just not to 5/8-24. I have a 7RM that I cut to 21 inches and had threaded 1/2x28. I have 30 cal suppressor that is QD and they make a 1/2x28 attachment.

I have done it. Normally have to go 1/2" threads but if I cut it down to 16" there should be enough room.

Yeah they are pretty heavy. I this is one of those times the industry says pick 2. Browning just released what I am looking for at SHOT but I could build the same gun cheaper.

Selling this for my dad. Zeiss Conquest V4 3-12x44, plex reticle. Capped MOA turrets. Glass looks great. Box, papers, Zeiss bikini covers, included.

I have a browning 30-06 that I bought from another Texag-er years ago. Has a boss and a custom wood stock. Swaro Hibacht scope. Shot it 3 times to check the sights. Other than that, it has been sitting in the safe
