Side note to those who have a Honey Badger.....worth it? Especially for those who can't afford many firearms at all?

I enjoy mine. If I had one gripe it would be the cheek weld. I like a regular stock/brace better. But it's a fun, light gun. If you're in Houston, you're welcome to shoot mine. But for anyone looking, you won't beat FTA03's price (assuming it's in good shape). It's about $1k off retail. Ammo is a little pricey right now for 300BO. Im paying about $0.90 per round.

I have noticed that too. Maybe because there are too many choices and we all want to build our own to suit? Makes folks hesitate? Just wondering why myself.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if most who frequent this thread already have the AR's they want and need. I adore firearms and always looking, except for AR platforms right now. I am happy with what I got for now. Might just be me though.

That could be what is going on. I'm not saying I wouldn't like an AR-10 and a 6.5 Creed for all the haters. But damn if I don't love my 300BO. But it's not like I have HV cash laying around.....I mean c'mon!

Right now you can walk in to just about any gun store or pawn shop in Central Texas and find an assortment of AR-15s and other modern sporting rifles as well as polymer striker fired handguns and 12 gauge shotguns.

Finding a good revolver, 1911, nice deer rifle, etc. is very rare.

Yep. And aside from the normal uniqueness, collectibility, etc of those guns, supply is back on ARs and you can build a budget one for ~500 bucks again. Has to be something pretty unique (or a screaming deal) on an AR platform to garner a lot of interest second hand right now.

You just need to have a fire sale on that AR-10 and some other toys. Then you will have some hidden cash to make gun purchases with! Maybe we need a strap OB group buy to bail your ass out!

Aren't you up in the Metroplex area? I will be moving there for a job in the summer and my first forays into looking for housing just bout killed all happiness for locking in a job. I very well end up posting some firearms here soon myself.

This would make me very happy. I've been real busy with work and haven't pushed it very much this year.

I'm starting up another side venture in the next month and will have a real busy summer and hopefully some side cash for some new goodies

I left dallas in December. Moved to east Texas and building a new house. For what I'll get here, it would cost 1.5 or so in DFW. It's a mess there now

Yeah, it absolutely blew my mind. I was stoked for finally get my first home and reality is setting in and saying I am going to have to wait even longer.

Towards that end, would there be interest in more obscure firearms on this board anyone? Thinking of trying to move my FN FiveseveN. I'll make a more formal listing if it might move.

Walther KKJ 22lr. This was a beautiful rifle in remarkably good condition for its age. That is before today when my 10 year old son was jabbering instead of paying attention to what he was doing and knocked it off the bench and on to the concrete breaking the stock and scuffing the end of the barrel. That's what I get for letting him skip school today.

I think its still worth $600. The gun that is. Not my son.

It is fixable and I have the piece that broke off. Problem is from now on if it stays in my safe I will replay that moment in slow motion. It has to go. If I don't get $600 I am going to fix it and penny auction it on Gunbroker.

Also, after having to adjust the Bausch & Lamb scope about four inches left we shot about 100 rounds out of it. Gun functions great and is extremely accurate
