There is a lot of sub models of the M77 Mark II. Not really understanding the boat paddle stock.
This will help narrow down the sub models:
Blued or Stainless finish?
Walnut or Laminated stock?
Target or Standard contour barrel?

A standard Model 77R Mark II - in fine condition- $475-$550.

Boat paddle was a zytel stock that had a unique shape and was a poor seller. After being discontinued they became popular and have developed somewhat of a cult following. They bring a good amount of money on their own.

They typically were sold on stainless rifles with sporter barrels.

Ok. Now I recognize it. Had no idea it was referred to as a boat paddle stock. Sure resembles one. Good info Cactus. Thanks for the explanation and picture sir.

I'm not a Ruger longarm collector at all. I have three Ruger rifles, one being a 10/22, (everybody has to have a 10/22)….and have a few older Ruger wheel guns.
Thanks to Cactus Thomas info I called a couple of my collector buddies that do mess with Rugers.
Seems you have a diamond in the rough there. Cactus was dead on as they have truly become Ruger Aficionado collectors items.
One of the collectors I talked with said that an unfired specimen with box and docs could fetch close to the $2,000.
Seems if one is in excellent shape and has the original box it will bring north of $1500 - $1600. Even average ones without box and docs seem to easily be worth $1000 plus. ….and not real easy to find.
So, you got a pretty cool collector piece there sir!

Thanks again Cactus T. for the info.

Price drop - $750 - It's new never fired only out of the box to take the pics, around $1K retail.

Thank you i appreciate the research. She's in excellent shape. Just no box or papers. Thinking about selling to go to a 6.5 PRC and a suppressor.

Don't make the same mistake that I did with that boat paddle stock. It alone is worth around $1k.

Dang! I have the M77 Mark II in stainless with the boat paddle. Had no idea it was worth that kind of money! I have killed a lot of deer with it. I bought mine from Walmart in the hood for like $300 on super clearance back in the early 00's.

I still have the M77 my FIL gave to me, he had swapped it over to a laminated stock. I had no idea at the time the boat paddle was worth so much and sold it about 8 years ago for $100 or so on here to a gun dealer that presumably flipped it. I was planning to put it back to stock and found out how much those things go for so in the laminated stock it lives.

Since the introduction of the first M77 Ruger in 1968, Sturm, Ruger & Co. has produced over 45 variations or models of the M77 & M77 MK II's….and this does not include all the caliber and cartridge offerings of those models.
They are a collectible entity all their own.
