Is this strictly for weapons and military related items, or can old tools be included?
"Curio & Relic" can be pretty much anything that is old & unique.

Old military guns are my thing, but if old tools are yours, go for it. Same goes for anything else in the "Outdoors" realm. But if you post some old indoorsy antiques or crap like that, I vote we run you outta town.

This old try square was at the bottom of a box of assorted tools from a yard sale. I didn't know it was in there when I bought the box. I'm not sure how old it is, but I've never seen one with the notches.

Sitting on a piece of scrap long leaf pine, for full relic effect.

Metal handle.

Seemingly old-style curly ended numbers. The numbers are not on a straight line with each other, which makes me think maybe they were hand puched.

Anybody seen one like this before?

Yep, that's what it looked like, except in was in the streets of Ste. Mere Eglise, the tank fired and he received his first purple heart.

If you own a K31, the bar just got set a little higher on pricing. Classic just sold out a batch of them at $700 each.

https://www.classicfirearms.com/swiss-k-31-carbine-rifle/

Also, the K11's they had listed at $600 sold out also.

https://www.classicfirearms.com/swiss-k11-carbine-straight-pull-rifle/

And the cherry on top...there's no 7.5x55 Swiss ammo available on the internet that I can see. None on AmmoSeek and none on Cabelas. Anybody know a place that has any left?

Nice! Really glad I didn't sell mine when I was tight on cash a couple years ago.

On the ammo- that's interesting. I got a case of GP11 from SGammo a few years ago. I'll have to be more judicious with it now. www.targetsportsusa.com is typically a good source for PPU milsurp calibers. Free shipping when you buy in case quantities.

Not technically C&R but still cool old surplus. Just got this pair of 1970s Ohio National Guard wingmasters, complete with factory mag extension and bayonet lug. Some handling dings but look to have barely been shot.

Dang! I never considered any of my firearms to be curios or relics, with the exception of my 1941 vintage '03-A3. But they fit the criteria so why not?

1924 Winchester Model '92, .25-20 WCF
1949 Winchester Model 42, .410
1949 Winchester Model 71, .348 cal
1956 Browning Superposed 20 gauge
1966 Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge
1962 Winchester Model '94 .30-30
Winchester Model 69 .22 cal has no serial number so pre-1968

All are in original unmodified condition

I have a Sears and Roebuck bolt action .16 gauge that my grandfather acquired on a trade during the Great Depression.
I was recently given a 20 Gauge Sears and Roebuck bolt action. Interesting shotgun.
That was the kind of shotgun I grew up with also in 20 gauge.
We've got the 20 gauge as well. Interesting gun for sure.

My favorite gun of all time (and that I enjoy shooting the most) is from the same era. Both were my great grandfather's.

Winchester model 67. This isn't my photo, but is the same gun (finger grooves, chrome trigger/bolt, etc.)

It is an extremely accurate gun and has killed many a rabbit/squirrel since the days of the depression. Manufactured around 1934.

Not that valuable resale (~$200) but a great gun none the less.
I have a model 67 that was my dad's as well... I learned to shoot using that rifle. You are correct about its accuracy... I have SO many memories of shooting jack rabbits and cactus leaves from my childhood with that rifle. Really cool safety - cock it back and twist the safety to keep it from discharging.

Fwiw, a gun doesn't HAVE to be 50+ to qualify. Those are relics, I guess. Being especially odd or collectible can qualify a newer gun, such as eastern bloc weapons from the late cold war era (Makarovs, etc).

I originally planned to sell one but decided to keep both once they were in hand. I might be tempted to let one go if you had something cool/unique to trade.

So I really need to learn to post pics from my I phone and I pad.
Farm neighbors 10 year old killed his first deer on my place last year with a really cool old gun his Great uncle had given him. I like old guns but had never seen this one before.
J.C. Higgins 222 Remington with a SAKO action. Beautiful hard wood stock. Huge 10 pt in an East Tx area that doesn't have a lot of deer.

If you want a Swiss k31, here's your shot. One available for $450 and another for $500. You likely won't see them this cheap again. I ordered one a few days ago when somebody posted to r/gundeals and they sold out in ~30 minutes. I'll post pics when it arrives.

I found this by the ranch road on my Grandfather's place in Fisher County. It's a Shako Plate from a US Army infantry helmet during the "Indian Wars" Notice the eagle faces the arrows in his claws.

I was in Europe a few weeks back, and I'm just now getting caught up enough to have time to post these (from the Churchill War Rooms in London).

This was Churchill's sidearm from WW1 (that he purchased himself):

And this was his sidearm from the Boer War (also purchased with his own money). I had no idea that his escape from a POW camp during the war and subsequent self-authored book on the escape is what propelled him to notoriety in Britain.

Found this in an old barn west of San Antonio. Original property is going to date from the 1840 to 50's but I don't have my reference to be certain. I know what it is but not exactly what kind. It's all iron as far as I can see and not broken. Not sure is it's complete or not. Thoughts ??

I have no idea. I was wondering if it as a Mexican bayonet given the period and the original nature of the place.
